THE CHAKRAS
Chakras are 'wheels of energy' within the body. There are seven major chakras.
Each one corresponds to a particular part of your body, and they each have a
distinct color.
Location and Character of Each Chakra - 1st to 4th
First Chakra—Root
The root chakra is located at the base of the spine, at the
tailbone in the back and the pubic bone in the front.
The colors used for this chakra are red and black.
This center is the basis for stability, grounding, physical energy, will, and
security.
Second Chakra – Navel
The sacral chakra is located just below the navel and is
rooted into the spine.
The colors used for this chakra are orange and blue-green.
This center is the basis for sexuality, creativity, intuition, healing, and
self-worth.
Third Chakra - Solar
Plexus
The third chakra is located two inches below the breastbone, in
the center behind the stomach.
The color used for this chakra is yellow.
This center is the basis of personal power, intellect, ambition, and
strength.
Fourth Chakra—Heart
The fourth chakra is located behind the breastbone, in front of and between the shoulder blades in the back.
The color used for this chakra is green.
This center is the basis of love, compassion, universal consciousness, and emotional balance.
Fifth Chakra—Throat
The fifth chakra is located in the neck above the collarbone,
at the lower neck.
The color used for this chakra is blue.
This center is the basis of sound, expression, and divine guidance and is the
center of communication.
Sixth Chakra -
Brow/Third Eye
The sixth chakra is located above the physical eyes, in the
center of the forehead.
The color used for this chakra is indigo.
This center is the basis for psychic ability, higher intuition, and the energies
of spirit and light.
Seventh Chakra – Crown
The seventh chakra is located just behind the top of the
skull.
The color used for this chakra is Violet.
This center is the basis for spiritual enlightenment, cosmic consciousness, and energy.
